The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Audit Manager to oversee client portfolios and lead audit teams. You will ensure high-quality service delivery, manage resources efficiently, and support team development. Your role will involve hands-on technical work, client communication, and contributing to the firm's growth strategies.

  • Manage key client accounts, planning and executing audits in compliance with UK standards.
  • Lead and develop audit teams, providing coaching, feedback, and mentoring.
  • Review work to ensure quality assurance and adherence to regulations.
  • Identify technical issues and potential solutions during audits.
  • Participate in proposals for new business and support firm initiatives.

The Ideal Candidate

A talented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys leading teams. You will have a solid background in audit and a passion for developing others. Your proactive approach will help maintain the firm’s high standards and client satisfaction.

Mandatory

  • Hold a professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent).
  • Experience managing a client portfolio within an audit environment.
  • Skilled in UK GAAP/FRS 102, IFRS, or similar standards.
  • Confident in audit planning, risk assessment, and control testing.
  • Experienced in coaching and mentoring colleagues.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients and teams.

Preferred

  • Experience working within a multi-site or larger accountancy practice.
  • Knowledge of audit software and ERP systems.
  • Willing to support offsite client visits and travel as needed.
  • A valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
