Audit Manager Opportunity

As a result of continued growth, an Audit Manager is required for a newly created position in a top 100 firm based in London.

A new opportunity for a qualified Audit Manager to join a Top 100 accountancy firm based in London, as a result of a newly acquired client based.

About The Client

Our client is an established Top 100 accountancy firm with national coverage who provide audit, accounts, tax and advisory services to a varied portfolio of businesses. The offices are in a fantastic central London location with good hospitality options for client entertainment.

The firm offers a supportive and professional working environment, with a strong emphasis on developing its people and providing opportunities for career progression.

The Role

As an Audit Manager the role offers a varied workload, split approximately 80% Audit and 20% Accounts, with substantial responsibility for managing client relationships and developing staff.

The position would suit someone who enjoys leading assignments, supporting a team and being a trusted point of contact for clients.

  • Manage a portfolio of audit and accounts clients, building strong relationships and overseeing the delivery of assignments
  • Lead audits from planning through to completion, managing budgets, deadlines and resources
  • Supervise, coach and develop team members, providing clear guidance and constructive feedback
  • Work closely with Partners, keeping them informed of progress and resolving technical or client matters
  • Coordinate workloads across assignments, ensuring staff have the support they need to deliver high-quality work
  • Identify opportunities to provide additional support to clients as their businesses develop
  • Review statutory accounts and ensure work meets the relevant technical and reporting requirements

About The Candidate

The successful Audit Manager will be a qualified accountant with strong audit and accounts experience gained within UK accountancy practice, and will look to continue their audit career.

  • ACA or ACCA qualified, or equivalent
  • Strong audit and accounts experience gained within UK accountancy practice
  • Experience leading audit assignments and reviewing the work of junior staff
  • Sound knowledge of UK auditing standards and financial reporting requirements
  • Confident managing client relationships and communicating technical matters clearly
  • Organised and commercially aware, with the ability to manage competing deadlines
  • An approachable manager who enjoys helping others develop
  • Able to commute to the firm’s London offices
