Audit Partner

Central Hertfordshire

£160,000-£220,000 + Profit Share + Partnership

An established portfolio. A respected team. The chance to leave your own legacy.

Partnership opportunities don't often come with an established portfolio, an experienced leadership team, and genuine succession planning already in place. This one does.

We're working with a highly regarded national accountancy practice looking to appoint an Audit Partner to take over a significant portfolio following a planned retirement. Rather than spending years building a client base from scratch, you'll inherit an established portfolio worth over £1 million in annual fees, while helping shape the next chapter of an already successful regional office.

The client portfolio is diverse, but one area is particularly important. The firm has built an outstanding reputation advising charities, education providers, and wider not-for-profit organizations alongside entrepreneurial owner-managed businesses. They're looking for someone who enjoys working across both sectors and can bring credibility with trustees, finance directors, business owners, and boards alike.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
