Job Description
About the Role
Spend your placement year in Audit at HaysMac, gaining hands-on experience with a diverse range of clients while developing the professional and technical skills needed for a successful career in accountancy.
Audit is about providing independent assurance that financial statements are accurate and reliable. As an Audit Placement Associate, you will help organisations build trust in their financial reporting, supporting better decision-making for stakeholders and the wider business community.
From day one, you will join one of our sector teams, specialising in sectors such as Creative, Media & Technology, Property, Hospitality, Financial Services or Social Purpose. You'll gain valuable exposure to different industries, business environments, and client challenges while working alongside experienced professionals who will support your development throughout your placement.

What You’ll Be Doing
As an Audit Placement Associate, you'll work as part of a team delivering high-quality audits. Your responsibilities will include:
- Testing financial transactions (e.g. invoices, payments, and receipts)
- Reviewing financial data to identify risks or inconsistencies
- Preparing audit working papers and documenting findings
- Supporting seniors and managers throughout the audit process
- Attending client meetings and building relationships with client teams
- Working both in the office and on client sites

Qualifications
Candidate Profile
We are looking for individuals who are curious, motivated and eager to learn. You should:

Academic Requirements
- On track for a minimum 2:2 degree in any discipline
- 120 UCAS points (or equivalent) from your top three A-Levels
