About the role
This role sits within the Operational Excellence Hub in KBS and supports Audit’s resourcing model. Audit operates in a regulated environment where assigning people appropriately is central to delivering quality engagements. You will work with engagement teams, resourcing colleagues and aligned support teams to plan work, address resource shortfalls and maintain the required checks and documentation. The role reports to the relevant Audit Resourcing Manager and may manage a department independently or support a department managed by an Audit Resourcing Advisor.
Roles and responsibilities
- Coordinate the allocation of people to engagements so that work is staffed appropriately and audit quality is supported.
- Deliver annual forward planning for resourcing in the agreed format, working with Audit leadership and relevant teams.
- Identify resource gaps and coordinate practical solutions to resolve shortfalls.
- Create and amend bookings in ProFinda accurately and maintain reliable resourcing information.
- Work closely with relevant KPMG Global Services teams supporting resourcing and departmental activity.
- Identify people with available capacity and support fair, effective allocation across engagements.
- Complete the required System of Quality Management checks and documentation when assigning people to Audit engagements.
- Provide operational insight to the Manager and Senior Manager to help optimise workforce and resource pools.

Experience and skills needed

- Experience in professional services resourcing, resource management, operations or workforce planning.
- Evidence of managing administrative processes accurately and with close attention to detail.
- Ability to coordinate priorities and maintain accuracy in a changing environment.
- Clear written and verbal communication, with evidence of building effective working relationships.
- Problem-solving skills, including identifying issues, influencing stakeholders and facilitating outcomes.
- Experience using Microsoft Office; experience with resource management or finance systems is desirable.
