Role Overview

This is a unique opportunity for an entrepreneurial audit professional who wants to move beyond simply managing a portfolio and instead create something of their own. You will be the firm's first audit appointment, taking responsibility for building the audit service line with the support of an established and profitable accounting practice that already has audit opportunities ready to transition into the new business.

Client Details

An ambitious and progressive accountancy practice in the North West is seeking an experienced Audit RI to establish, lead, and grow a brand new audit division.

Description

As the Audit RI, you will:

  • Establish and lead a new audit function from inception.
  • Act as Responsible Individual for audit engagements.
  • Take ownership of a ready-made pipeline of audit clients already identified within the existing client base.
  • Develop audit methodologies, processes, and quality control procedures.
  • Build and grow an audit team as the service line expands.
  • Drive business development and identify further audit opportunities.
  • Work closely with the firm's leadership team to shape the strategic direction of the audit practice.
  • Create a high-quality, commercially successful audit offering.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
