Are you part way through your ACA or ACCA looking for a fresh opportunity with a firm that will support and mentor you through your development, then this role may be for you?

Our audit team are expanding in Stoke, and we are recruiting for a dedicated, tenacious and client focused Audit Semi Senior, who is looking to forward their career and enhance their experience.

Dains is ranked 22nd in the National Accountancy Age and was the fastest-growing firm within the surveyed top 100 accountancy firms in the UK. The Dains Group is now over 1000 people strong with offices throughout the UK and Ireland.

As Audit Semi Senior, you will be working across a wide range of various sectors throughout the Midlands, giving you the exposure to allow you to work independently, with the guidance and direction of managers, directors, and partners.

  • You will have responsibility for the audit of a client reporting directly to the Manager, Director or Partners
  • You will be preparing audit files to a high standard.
  • Liaison with the Tax Department on any tax related matters
  • You will work on the preparation of statutory and non-statutory accounts
  • Delegation of assignments and supervision of junior members of staff, followed by review of the work performed
  • You will be drafting journals requiring fairly complex accounting principles
  • The completion of the assignment in accordance with the budget with any variations being promptly recorded
  • To provide ad-hoc support to other members of the audit department as required

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

  • You will be working towards the ACA or ACCA qualification
  • The ability to communicate openly and build relationships with clients.
  • Confidence in leading junior team members.
  • Not afraid to take on new challenges.
  • Demonstrate high commitment to excellent client services.
  • Have a genuine desire to deliver exceptional outcomes.
