Your new company

An established and growing accountancy practice is seeking an Audit Senior to join its team as a result of continued business growth and an expanding client base. The firm provides a full range of audit, accounts, and tax services to a diverse portfolio of clients, including limited companies, charities, LLPs, sole traders, and partnerships.

Your new role

As an Audit Senior, you will work closely with the Partners and Senior Management team to deliver a high-quality service to a varied client portfolio. You will take responsibility for leading audit assignments from planning through to completion, ensuring work is delivered accurately, efficiently, and within agreed timescales.

Alongside your audit responsibilities, you will prepare and review statutory accounts for a range of entities and support both corporate and personal tax compliance work. The role offers a broad mix of technical exposure across audit, accounts, and tax, making it an excellent opportunity for someone seeking variety in their day-to-day work. You will also play an important role in supporting and mentoring junior team members while maintaining strong relationships with clients.

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role, you will be ACCA or ICAS qualified, or working towards qualification, with previous experience gained within a public practice environment. Applications will also be considered from part-qualified candidates who can demonstrate relevant audit experience.

You will possess strong technical knowledge across audit and accounts preparation, with experience managing assignments from planning through to completion. The ability to work independently, manage competing deadlines, and communicate effectively with colleagues and clients is essential. Experience using accounting and audit software packages is expected, and familiarity with Sage, Microsoft Office, and audit software will be advantageous. Previous exposure to Iris would be beneficial but is not essential.
