The Opportunity
An established and growing accountancy practice in Aberdeen is looking to appoint an Audit Senior to join its audit team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced auditor looking to take the next step in their career within a supportive practice environment, with exposure to a broad range of clients and the opportunity to take increasing responsibility for audit engagements from planning through to completion.
The role would suit someone who enjoys working closely with clients, has strong technical audit knowledge and is looking for a position offering genuine progression.

The Role

As an Audit Senior, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day delivery of audit assignments, working closely with managers, directors and clients to ensure engagements are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Planning and completing audit assignments from start to finish.
- Leading fieldwork and taking responsibility for the delivery of audit engagements.
- Preparing and reviewing audit working papers.
- Identifying audit risks and ensuring appropriate procedures are performed.
- Reviewing financial statements and accounts prepared under UK GAAP and IFRS where relevant.
- Supervising and supporting junior members of the audit team.
- Communicating directly with clients and building strong working relationships.
- Identifying issues and discussing findings with managers and clients.
- Assisting with the preparation of accounts and other compliance work where required.
- Ensuring assignments are delivered within agreed budgets and deadlines.
