Senior Audit Professional Opportunity

A strong opportunity for a Senior Audit professional to lead a varied portfolio of SME and owner-managed business clients, delivering both audit and accounts services.

Client Details

Our client is a well-established and growing independent accountancy practice with a strong reputation supporting SME and owner-managed businesses. The firm works closely with clients across a broad range of sectors, providing hands-on audit, accounts, and advisory services. With a focus on building long-term relationships, the team offers exposure to varied engagements, from sole traders through to corporate audit assignments.

Description

  • Lead audit assignments for SMEs, owner-managed businesses, and group structures from planning through to completion
  • Deliver statutory audits alongside accounts preparation for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
  • Act as a key point of contact for clients, developing strong and trusted relationships
  • Prepare and review financial statements in line with UK GAAP
  • Support clients with day-to-day queries, providing practical and commercial advice
  • Supervise and review work prepared by junior staff, providing guidance and technical support
  • Assist with corporation tax computations and compliance work
  • Manage multiple client deadlines, ensuring high-quality delivery and compliance
  • Support managers and partners on more complex audit and advisory assignments

Profile

  • ACA or ACCA qualified, or qualified by experience
  • Strong background in audit within practice, with exposure to SMEs and OMB clients
  • Experience leading audits and managing client relationships
  • Good technical knowledge across audit, accounts preparation, and compliance
  • Confident communicator with a client-focused approach
  • Organised with the ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively
  • Experience with sole traders and smaller business clients advantageous
