A leading independent accountancy and business advisory practice in Warrington is seeking an ambitious Audit Senior to join its growing audit and assurance team.

Your new role
As an Audit Senior, you will take responsibility for leading audit assignments from planning through to completion, working closely with managers, directors and clients across a broad range of sectors.
You will play a key role in delivering a high-quality service whilst supporting and mentoring junior members of the team.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Leading audit assignments for a varied portfolio of clients.
- Planning, conducting and completing audits in accordance with professional standards.
- Preparing audit files and supporting documentation.
- Reviewing the work of junior team members and providing constructive feedback.
- Building strong relationships with clients and acting as a key point of contact throughout the audit process.
- Identifying audit risks and providing practical recommendations.
- Assisting with the preparation of statutory accounts where required.
- Supporting managers and directors with client service delivery and business development initiatives.
- Contributing to the development of junior staff through coaching and mentoring.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will be ACA or ACCA qualified, part-qualified or qualified by experience with previous audit experience gained within a UK accountancy practice.
You will also demonstrate:
- Strong audit and assurance experience.
- Good knowledge of UK accounting and auditing standards.
- Experience leading audit assignments and liaising directly with clients.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- A proactive and professional approach to client service.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a wider team.
