Audit Senior - £42,000-£47,000
Are you an experienced Audit Senior looking for a role where you can take ownership of your work, build strong client relationships and continue developing your career? We're working with a small, well-established accountancy practice that is looking to strengthen its audit team with a capable and commercially minded professional.
Based in Wembley, this is an opportunity to join a close-knit team where you'll have genuine visibility across the business and work closely with both colleagues and clients. The firm works with a varied portfolio of owner-managed businesses and established organisations, offering a good balance of audit, accounts and advisory exposure.
The Role
As an Audit Senior, you'll play an important part in delivering high-quality audit and accounts assignments, working closely with managers and clients while supporting more junior members of the team.
Because this is a small accountancy firm, you'll have the opportunity to take on meaningful responsibility, build strong client relationships and broaden your technical experience rather than being restricted to one area of the business.

What You'll Be Doing
- Planning and completing audit assignments from start to finish
- Preparing statutory accounts and supporting year-end accounts work
- Working directly with clients to obtain information and resolve queries
- Reviewing financial records and identifying potential issues
- Supervising and supporting junior team members
- Assisting managers with more complex assignments and technical matters
- Managing your own workload and ensuring deadlines are consistently met
- Developing strong working relationships across a diverse client portfolio
What We're Looking For
You'll ideally have experience within practice and be comfortable taking responsibility for audit assignments with a range of clients.

We're particularly interested in candidates who can demonstrate:
- Previous experience at Audit Senior or equivalent level
- Strong audit and accounts knowledge
- Experience preparing statutory financial statements
- Good understanding of UK accounting and auditing standards
- Ability to manage assignments and meet deadlines independently
- Confident communication skills and a professional approach to clients
- Experience supervising or mentoring junior colleagues
- ACA or ACCA qualified, or significant progress towards qualification
