Audit Senior – (North London)
Location: North London (hybrid working available)
Type: Permanent, Full-time
Salary: To £55,000 + benefits (DOE)
A well-established firm of Accountants in North London is looking to appoint an ACA/ACCA Qualified Audit Senior to join their growing audit team. This role offers exposure to large, complex audits, including clients with turnover in excess of £250m, and is ideal for someone who can take ownership of audits from planning through to completion while delivering an excellent client experience.
The Role
You’ll lead audits end-to-end, acting as the main day-to-day contact for clients and managing junior staff on assignments. You’ll work closely with Managers/Partners to ensure files are delivered to a high standard and within deadlines, and you will work across the full Audit File.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead audits from planning to completion (planning, risk assessment, fieldwork, completion, file finalisation)
- Manage the on-site audit team, delegating effectively and coaching junior staff
- Maintain excellent audit quality and documentation in line with firm methodology and UK standards
- Build strong working relationships with client finance teams, demonstrating excellent client engagement skills
- Identify and clearly communicate issues, preparing concise findings and recommendations
- Support Managers/Partners with workflow, deadlines, and continuous improvement across the audit process
Candidate Requirements (Must-Haves)
- ACA or ACCA qualified
- Strong UK practice background in external audit
- Proven ability to run audits end-to-end (planning through to completion)
- Demonstrable experience managing/mentoring junior team members
- Confident communicator with polished, professional client-facing skills
- Eligible to work in the UK (no sponsorship)

Desirable (Nice to Have)
- Exposure to larger clients / complex assignments (e.g., groups, consolidated accounts, tight reporting deadlines)
- Experience with audit software such as CaseWare / CCH / similar
