Our Inverness office are looking for an experienced, professional and enthusiastic Qualified Senior Associate / Assistant Manager, to join our audit team.
Applicants must be either CA/ ACA/ ACCA qualified and be able to display a commercially minded and organised approach to client work.
You will become a key part of a growing team, which provides a wide range of audit, advisory and accounting services to a huge range of diverse clients.
Our Audit Senior Associates/ Assistant Managers
- Project manage and drive forwards the audit and accounting process, including liaising directly with senior individuals in clients’ finance teams.
- Get actively involved in every aspect of the audit process, taking ownership of planning, fieldwork, and the completion on audit engagements, working closely with managers and partners.
- Have the opportunity to get involved in the direction and overall running of the team. There may also be opportunities to work on ad hoc projects e.g., department or firm wide working groups and client advisory work.

The Team
Our Audit team in Inverness, one of the fastest growing cities in the UK, advises a wide range of commercial businesses, not-for-profit organizations and charities across the Highlands & Islands. Our commercial client base ranges from large multi-national companies and groups, reporting under UK GAAP and IFRS to family businesses, many of which are owned by wealthy individuals.

The Office
The Inverness office is home to 5 partners and over 80 staff. The office has a mix of local and remote workers, and is a welcoming and inclusive place to work. The office Great Place to Work feedback is extremely positive, but we take all feedback seriously and look for continuous improvement in all areas to make the office a place the team can be proud of being part of, and where they feel they belong.
Qualifications And Skills
- CA/ ACA/ACCA qualified
- Audit experience, including planning and completion
- Excellent communication skills
- Client focused with commerciality awareness
- Computer experience: Excel, Word and ideally CCH accounts and audit automation
- Good technical knowledge including recent developments in accounting and auditing standards
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to work on multiple jobs at once
- Ability to work in a pressured environment
- Proactive nature and enjoys working as part of a team
- Although not a pre-requisite, it would be beneficial if you had a driving licence and ability to travel to client premises
- Experience of consolidated accounts
- Experience of IFRS and FRS 102

- A 35-hour working week with a hybrid working policy with the flexibility to work from home for up to three days per week (our core hours are 10-4)
