The Role
Our High Wycombe office is seeking an experienced, professional, and enthusiastic Qualified Senior to join our Audit team. This is an exciting opportunity for an ACA or ACCA qualified individual who brings a commercially minded, organised approach to client service and delivery.
This is a varied and rewarding role, offering exposure to a diverse portfolio of clients across sectors, often working to tight deadlines. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality audit work while building strong client relationships and supporting the development of junior team members.
The role involves planning and delivering a complete audit file, to include:
- Audit planning and scoping engagements
- Assessing audit risks and determining appropriate materiality levels
- Designing and implementing effective audit testing programmes
- Completing audit fieldwork with a high degree of professional scepticism
- Producing clear and concise documentation of audit findings, including judgemental areas
- Identifying and recording unadjusted misstatements and management letter points, and discussing these with client teams
- Completing audit files and summarising key findings for Partner review
- Reviewing the work of junior team members and supporting their ongoing development
- Maintaining regular communication with the Audit Manager throughout the audit lifecycle
- Managing budgets effectively and keeping stakeholders informed of progress
- Acting as a key point of contact for clients, ensuring an excellent level of service at all times
- Collaborating with other Saffery teams, including Corporate Tax, to deliver a seamless, joined-up client experience
The Clients
Clients are varied in nature with the opportunity to work on AIM listed organisations, complex groups with overseas links, Owner Managed Businesses, and charities and not-for-profit organisations.

The Team
The Audit team within the High Wycombe office comprises 3 Partners and approximately 30 professionals, from Director to Audit Juniors. There is a real focus on development within the team, with the aim being to empower everyone to reach their full potential and develop their careers long-term within the firm.
The Office
Our High Wycombe office is fast growing, providing genuine opportunities for development for our team.
We provide a comprehensive range of services, including accounting, audit and assurance, business advisory, corporate finance, tax, and VAT. Our client base spans both UK and international businesses and individuals.
You
We are looking for someone who is not only technically strong but also thrives in a client-facing, team-oriented environment. You will bring:
- ACA or ACCA qualification
- Proven audit experience, including planning through to completion
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A client-focused mindset with strong commercial awareness
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word, with experience of CCH Accounts Production and Audit Automation desirable
- Strong technical knowledge, including up-to-date accounting and auditing standards
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously
- The ability to perform effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
- A proactive, positive approach and a collaborative mindset
- A full driving licence and willingness to travel to client sites
Although Not Essential, The Following Would Be Advantageous
- Experience with consolidated accounts
- Exposure to IFRS

- A 35-hour working week with a hybrid working policy with the flexibility to work from home for up to three days per week (our core hours are 10-4)
