Are you an experienced Audit Senior looking for your next challenge with a well-established and highly respected accountancy practice in Gloucestershire?

I'm currently working with a successful independent firm in Gloucester that is looking to strengthen its audit team with the appointment of an Audit Senior. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified or part-qualified accountant who enjoys working closely with a varied portfolio of clients while developing their career within a supportive and collaborative environment.

The firm has built an excellent reputation across the region and continues to attract a diverse range of owner-managed businesses, SMEs, charities, and corporate clients. As an Audit Senior, you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality audit assignments while mentoring junior team members and building strong client relationships.

The Role

As Audit Senior, your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading audit assignments from planning through to completion.
  • Preparing and reviewing audit working papers and financial statements.
  • Managing day-to-day client relationships and acting as a key point of contact throughout the audit process.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve client processes and add commercial value.
  • Supervising and supporting junior members of the team.
  • Working closely with managers and partners on a varied client portfolio.
  • Supporting accounts preparation work where required.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
