About the Role

An exciting opportunity for an ACA or ACCA qualified Audit Senior to join a growing audit team in Manchester, managing a varied portfolio of clients and leading audit assignments from planning through to completion. The role offers exposure to businesses of differing sizes and sectors while providing mentoring responsibilities and opportunities to further develop your technical expertise.

  • Planning and completing external audit assignments for small and medium-sized companies and charities.
  • Performing audit testing for a small number of larger corporate clients.
  • Supervising, mentoring and reviewing the work of junior team members.
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships throughout engagements.
  • Supporting managers in the delivery of high-quality audit services.
  • Preparing statutory financial statements as part of audit engagements where required.
  • Assisting with corporation tax computations if desired.
  • Supporting a variety of ad-hoc assignments and project work across the wider business.

Profile

The Successful Candidate Will Have

  • ACA or ACCA qualification.
  • A minimum of two years' experience in a similar audit role within practice.
  • Strong communication and client-facing skills.
  • A proactive approach with a genuine desire to learn and develop.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong technical abilities.
  • Experience with software such as Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, CCH Accounts Production, CCH Audit Automation or Alphatax would be advantageous, though full training can be provided.
