Audit & Accounts Senior – Buckinghamshire

A well-established accountancy firm in Buckinghamshire is looking to appoint an ambitious Audit & Accounts Semi Senior to join its growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with solid practice experience who is looking to step up, broaden their exposure across audit and accounts work, and develop within a modern, partner-led environment.

The Role

You’ll be involved in a varied and interesting client portfolio, supporting on both audit assignments and accounts preparation work. This is a hands-on position with genuine progression opportunities and increasing responsibility over time.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with and completing audit assignments from planning through to completion
  • Preparing statutory accounts for a range of clients
  • Supporting seniors and managers with client delivery and queries
  • Working across a diverse portfolio of SMEs and growing businesses
  • Ensuring compliance with UK accounting standards and internal quality expectations

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  • At least 3 years’ experience in UK accountancy practice
  • Strong grounding in both audit and accounts preparation
  • Good knowledge of UK GAAP and basic compliance requirements
  • Confident communication skills with some client-facing experience
  • A proactive, organized approach and strong attention to detail
  • AAT qualified, part-qualified (ACA/ACCA), or qualified by experience
