Audit Senior and Audit Semi Senior
Location: Manchester, Bolton, Stockport and across Lancashire
Salary: £42,000 - £48,000 per annum
Working arrangements: Office based, hybrid and flexible opportunities available
The Accountancy Practice Recruiter specialises exclusively in recruitment for accountancy practices across the North of England.
Every week, we work on new Audit Senior and Audit Semi Senior appointments with Top 20, Top 50 and leading independent accountancy practices across the region.
We are currently interested in speaking with candidates at different stages of their audit careers, including:
- ACA or ACCA qualified Audit Seniors
- Finalists who are within one or two exams of qualifying
- Audit Semi Seniors who are progressing towards Audit Senior level
- Experienced Audit Seniors who are ready to take the next step towards Assistant Manager
The opportunities
I am currently recruiting for audit positions in Manchester, Bolton, Stockport and across Lancashire, with further opportunities regularly becoming available throughout the North of England.

What practices are looking for
Depending on your current level, you should have experience within an accountancy practice and be developing confidence in:
- Leading smaller audits from planning through to completion
- Acting as a key point of contact for clients
- Completing audit fieldwork and preparing relevant documentation
- Supporting and reviewing the work of junior team members
- Managing deadlines and communicating effectively with managers and clients
- Building positive professional relationships with clients
Experience of preparing statutory accounts alongside audit assignments would be a significant advantage, although it is not essential for every position.
