Role Overview
As an Audit Senior, you will take a leading role in audit engagements, overseeing fieldwork, supervising junior team members and ensuring high-quality delivery. You will act as a key point of contact for clients and support Managers in delivering audit assignments efficiently and effectively.
This role is suited to a qualified or nearly qualified professional within a Top 70 accountancy firm, progressing toward Assistant Manager or Manager level.
Key Responsibilities
Audit Delivery & Leadership
- Lead audit fieldwork and testing assignments.
- Review work performed by junior team members.
- Ensure audits are delivered to a high standard and within deadlines.

Client Relationship Management
- Act as a primary day-to-day contact for clients.
- Build strong client relationships.
- Monitor progress and manage expectations.
Team Supervision & Development
- Supervise, coach and develop junior staff.
- Provide feedback and review performance.
- Support training and development initiatives.
Compliance & Technical
- Ensure compliance with audit standards and firm policies.
- Apply technical accounting knowledge to assignments.
- Maintain high-quality documentation and working papers.

Qualifications & Experience
Essential
- ACA / ACCA qualified or nearly qualified.
- Experience leading audit assignments.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge.
- Proven ability to supervise teams.
Desirable
- Experience within a Top 70 or mid-tier firm.
- Sector specialism or audit niche experience.
Person Specification
- Confident and professional client-facing individual.
- Strong leadership and organisational skills.
- Attention to detail and quality-focused.
- Motivated to progress to management level.
