About The Role And Team

The Assistant Manager - Audit Technology Support & Implementation plays a critical role in the delivery of high-quality, hands-on support across Audit Tools and Techniques (ATTs). The role sits between offshore delivery and the onshore management layer, combining technical support delivery with oversight, coaching and quality control of offshore resource. The Assistant Manager is responsible for resolving more complex and judgement-based support queries, particularly those requiring audit understanding, interpretation of results, or interaction with audit teams. In addition, the role ensures that offshore delivery is effective, consistent and aligned with expected standards, supporting the development of capability and ensuring a strong, scalable support model. The role is key to bridging the gap between first-line support and senior escalation, ensuring issues are managed effectively and that audit teams receive timely, accurate and practical support.

  • Provide hands-on support to audit teams for more complex queries, including those requiring audit judgement, interpretation of outputs or deeper technical understanding.
  • Act as the first escalation point for offshore data analysts, supporting resolution of queries that cannot be addressed through standard processes.
  • Review outputs produced by offshore team members, ensuring accuracy, consistency and quality of responses provided to audit teams.
  • Coach, train and support offshore team members, providing guidance on handling queries, use of tools, and expected service standards.
  • Monitor incoming tickets and support demand, working with the Manager to ensure effective allocation and prioritisation of work.
  • Take ownership of complex or sensitive support issues, ensuring they are investigated thoroughly and resolved in a timely manner.
  • Engage directly with audit teams on more complex support cases, providing clear, practical explanations and guidance.
  • Identify recurring issues, trends and knowledge gaps, and escalate these appropriately to support continuous improvement.
  • Support the development and maintenance of guidance materials, including FAQs, user guides and standard responses.
  • Ensure offshore team members adhere to agreed processes, service levels and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with Manager and Director to provide feedback on performance, risks and areas for improvement within the support model.
  • Support onboarding of new tools into the support model, including developing understanding and supporting offshore training.
  • Maintain strong awareness of ATT functionality, use cases and audit applications to provide effective support.
  • Support ATT implementation activity, including early-stage, hypercare support and user onboarding.
  • Contribute to training sessions, drop-in clinics and knowledge sharing activities to improve adoption.
  • Provide feedback into tool development and enhancement based on user issues and support insights.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across the support function.
  • Assist with documentation of processes, workflows and support standards.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
