The Opportunity
AEP Global is looking for an experienced LV Authorised Person (AP) to join our growing electrical team, supporting the safe energisation, commissioning and operation of LV electrical systems across technically challenging projects.
Working alongside Senior Authorised Persons, Commissioning Managers, Engineers, contractors and vendors, you will play a key role in ensuring electrical activities are completed safely, efficiently and in accordance with electrical safety rules and approved procedures.
This is an excellent opportunity for an electrical professional who already has LV AP experience and wants to further develop their career within commissioning and mission-critical environments.

What You'll Be Doing
- Supporting and operating Permit-to-Work systems on site.
- Managing and supporting LV electrical isolations and energisation activities.
- Participating in LOTO (Lock Out Tag Out) procedures.
- Ensuring compliance with electrical safety rules and site procedures.
- Inspecting electrical systems and equipment prior to energisation.
- Supporting fault finding and resolution during commissioning.
- Maintaining accurate records of permits, isolations and electrical documentation.
- Coordinating with SAPs, engineers, contractors and vendors.
- Maintaining the highest standards of health and safety throughout project delivery.
What We're Looking For
Essential
- Previous LV Authorised Person experience.
- Recognised electrical apprenticeship or relevant electrical qualification.
- Electrical Inspection & Testing 2391 or equivalent.
- CSCS/ECS.
- Good understanding of LV electrical systems and safe isolation procedures.
- Knowledge of electrical safety rules and Permit-to-Work systems.
- Familiarity with LOTO procedures.
- Approximately 2–5 years' experience within an AP, electrical commissioning or critical-environment role.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to successfully complete a technical interview.

Desirable
- Previous experience within data centres, mission-critical, industrial or infrastructure projects.
- Experience supporting LV commissioning and energisation.
- SMSTS or IOSH.
- BEng (Hons) Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
