Authorised Service Technicians – UK
We are currently looking for experienced Authorised Technicians (ATs) to strengthen our Service UK team and support upcoming and ongoing wind turbine Service & Maintenance projects across the United Kingdom.
We are particularly interested in technicians who hold or have previously held relevant OEM authorisations.
The role involves supporting preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, repair activities and safe execution of work on wind turbines, in accordance with OEM procedures, site requirements and applicable safety standards.
About The Role
As an Authorised Service Technician, you will play an important role in the safe and efficient execution of Service & Maintenance activities.
Depending on your authorisation level, turbine platform and project requirements, you may also be responsible for supervising work activities, ensuring safe systems of work are followed and supporting other technicians on site.
You will work as part of an international team supporting critical renewable energy infrastructure across the UK, both onshore and offshore.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on wind turbine systems.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical and hydraulic faults.
- Carry out repairs and replacement of turbine components.
- Conduct routine inspections and condition monitoring.
- Perform authorised technician duties in accordance with the applicable OEM procedures, safety rules and level of authorisation.
- Ensure work is carried out safely and in accordance with approved work instructions and safe systems of work.
- Support and supervise technicians during maintenance and troubleshooting activities where required by the relevant authorisation.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, service manuals and OEM documentation.
- Complete detailed service reports, maintenance records and required project documentation.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of tools, equipment and PPE.
- Collaborate closely with site management, supervisors and other technicians to ensure safe and efficient operations.
- Support installation, commissioning or additional technical scopes when required.
- Work at height and in challenging onshore and offshore environments.

Skills, Knowledge And Experience
Essential / Highly Relevant
- Previous experience as an Authorised Technician (AT) within the wind industry.
- Current or previous OEM authorisation on one or more wind turbine platforms.
- Strong Service & Maintenance experience within the wind industry.
- Experience with preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Strong troubleshooting capabilities across electrical, mechanical and/or hydraulic systems.
- Good understanding of wind turbine safety rules, safe systems of work and technician responsibilities.
- Relevant and valid GWO training/certifications.
- Ability to read and understand technical documentation, procedures and work instructions.
- Strong safety awareness and commitment to HSE and quality standards.
- Good written and spoken English.
- Ability to work effectively as part of an international team.
Right to Work
Candidates must be legally authorised to live and work in the United Kingdom.
Physical Requirements
Candidates must be physically fit to work in demanding wind turbine environments, including adverse weather conditions and flexible working hours.
The role requires the daily use of PPE, including harness, helmet, lanyards and fall-arrest equipment. Depending on turbine configuration and site conditions, technicians may also be required to climb turbine ladders multiple times per day.
