At Scottish Autism, our Autism Practitioners do more than provide support. They help people live fulfilling, meaningful lives and achieve the things that matter most to them.
We’re looking for enthusiastic and compassionate Autism Practitioners to join our Tayside team, supporting four women and two men across two services. Each person has their own interests, personality, and aspirations, and every day brings something different.
You'll support individuals to live as independently as possible and find joy in everyday life. This could involve getting out and about in the community, building independence at home, connecting with peers, achieving personal goals, or exploring creative interests.
The team focuses on building positive relationships, promoting wellbeing, and creating opportunities for people to thrive in their own homes and communities.

A driving licence would be advantageous, as the individuals have access to Motability vehicles and enjoy getting out and about in their local communities.
This is a 24/7 service, with a mix of morning, day, evening, sleepover, and weekend shifts. Our fixed rota pattern provides stability and predictability, making it easier to balance work with the things that matter most to you. From family time and social plans to appointments and holidays, you'll have the reassurance of knowing your shifts well in advance. Sleepovers are available but are not essential for all positions.
As an Autism Practitioner, you'll be part of a dedicated team supporting individuals to live fulfilling, independent lives and achieve the goals that matter most to them. You'll build positive relationships, promote choice and independence, support people to take part in activities they enjoy, and help them develop everyday life skills at home and in their community.
We're looking for people who are compassionate, proactive, and adaptable, with a genuine passion for making a positive difference in the lives of autistic people. Calm, patient, and consistent in your approach, you'll be able to encourage and motivate others at their own pace, helping them achieve their goals without pressure.
