Are you an experienced Auto Electrician, Vehicle CCTV Engineer or Telematics Engineer looking for a field-based engineering role across Oxford and the surrounding Oxfordshire area?
GTS Group are recruiting for a growing vehicle technology and transport safety specialist looking to add an experienced Auto Electrical Field Service Engineer to its team. You'll work across buses, coaches and commercial vehicle fleets, carrying out the installation, servicing, maintenance and fault-finding of vehicle CCTV, telematics and auto electrical systems.
The Role
As an Auto Electrical Field Service Engineer, you'll be responsible for:
- Installing, servicing and maintaining vehicle CCTV and telematics systems
- Fault-finding and repairing auto electrical systems
- Installing and configuring CCTV cameras, DVRs, routers and onboard equipment
- Diagnosing electrical and technology faults on buses, coaches and commercial vehicles
- Programming and commissioning onboard vehicle technology
- Working with 4G, WiFi and vehicle connectivity systems
- Completing digital service reports and job documentation
- Travelling to customer and fleet sites throughout Oxford, Oxfordshire and surrounding areas
- Working independently with support from an experienced technical team

What We're Looking For
We're keen to hear from engineers with experience as an:
- Auto Electrician
- Vehicle CCTV Engineer
- Telematics Engineer
- Bus Electrician
- Coach Electrician
- Field Service Engineer
- Vehicle Electrical Engineer
- Mobile CCTV Engineer
Ideally, you'll have:
- Strong auto electrical fault-finding experience
- Experience working on buses, coaches, HGVs or commercial vehicles
- Knowledge of vehicle CCTV and/or telematics systems
- Experience with DVRs, cameras, routers and mobile connectivity
- Good IT and equipment configuration skills
- Experience with Timespace vehicle CCTV equipment would be advantageous
- Full UK driving licence
- Ability to work independently in a mobile field-based position

This is a mobile field-based role covering Oxford, Oxfordshire and surrounding areas. Candidates based around Oxford, Bicester, Abingdon, Didcot, Witney, Kidlington, Banbury, Thame and surrounding areas are encouraged to apply.
