About the Role
GTS Group are recruiting for experienced Auto Electricians / Vehicle Electricians / Field Engineers to join a growing team working with some of the latest vehicle telematics, CCTV and safety technology.
These are hands-on, field-based roles working across HGVs, LCVs, buses, coaches, trailers and specialist vehicles. If you enjoy working with vehicle electrics, fault finding and fitting new technology to vehicles, this could be a great next step.
What You'll Be Doing
You'll be responsible for installing, maintaining and fault-finding a range of vehicle electrical and electronic systems, including:

- Vehicle tracking and telematics
- 12V / 24V electrical systems and wiring
- CANbus, J1939, J1708 and FMS
- CCTV, dashcams and multi-camera systems
- ADAS, DVS and other vehicle safety systems
- Temperature monitoring and driver monitoring equipment
- In-cab technology, tablets and vehicle accessories
- Tacho and telematics integrations
- Vehicle lighting, beacons and power solutions
- Electrical fault finding, servicing and repairs
You'll spend your time out on the road, working at customer sites and managing your own installations and workload.
What We're Looking For
We're keen to speak with experienced Auto Electricians, Vehicle Electricians, Automotive Electrical Technicians and Field Engineers who have a good understanding of vehicle electrical systems.
Ideally, you'll have experience working with:
- HGVs, LCVs, buses, coaches or trailers
- 12V / 24V vehicle electrics
- Vehicle wiring and electrical fault finding
- Telematics, tracking or CCTV
- CANbus or vehicle communication systems

Experience with commercial vehicles, emergency service vehicles or specialist vehicles would be particularly useful.
You'll need to be comfortable working independently, dealing with customers and travelling between sites. A full UK driving licence is essential.
