The role

We are looking for a reliable and organised 2D CAD Technician to join our team at Casado Design. A part of ZenaTech Inc.

This position would suit someone who has experience working in a professional office environment and brings a calm, responsible, and dependable approach to their work. Previous CAD experience is required, although practical office experience, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn are equally important.

You will work with colleagues and project teams to produce, update, and maintain accurate 2D technical drawings.

Key responsibilities

  • Producing and amending 2D CAD drawings from sketches, specifications, and project information
  • Updating drawings following internal or client feedback
  • Checking drawings for accuracy, consistency, and completeness
  • Maintaining organised drawing files, records, and version control
  • Liaising professionally with colleagues, clients, and other project stakeholders
  • Managing priorities and completing work within agreed deadlines
  • Following company drawing standards and quality procedures
  • Providing general technical and project support where required

About you

We are particularly interested in candidates who can demonstrate:

  • Experience working in a professional office or technical environment
  • A mature, dependable, organised, and professional approach
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accurate work
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Fast typing skills
  • Confidence using computers and standard office software
  • The ability to manage your own workload and meet deadlines
  • A willingness to ask questions, take responsibility, and learn new skills
  • The ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Desirable experience

  • Previous experience in a CAD, draughting, design, architecture, engineering, construction, or manufacturing role
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD LT
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD (Full package), Revit or SketchUp would be beneficial but not a requirement
  • Experience reading or producing technical drawings
  • A relevant technical qualification

Training and support may be available for a candidate who has the right professional approach and transferable experience.
