Salary: A GBP 28,000 per year + bonus (negotiable: depending on experience)

Our client, Arch Steel is a leading UK manufacturer of high-quality steel roofing, cladding, façade systems and bespoke fabrications for the construction industry. At their core, they believe that attention to detail is the cornerstone of every project and are driven by a passion for precision, ensuring that every aspect of their craftsmanship is executed flawlessly. As such, they are now seeking a skilled AutoCAD Technician to join their Drawing Office team.
You will play a key role in preparing accurate technical drawings and supporting the production of bespoke steel building components for a wide range of commercial projects. You will communicate effectively with internal teams (and occasionally with clients as and when required) and work closely with the design and production teams to interpret project requirements and your key responsibilities will include:

- Producing and updating 2D AutoCAD drawings to a high standard
- Assisting with technical documentation and design revisions
- Supporting other drafting tasks as required to help deliver projects on time and to specification
To be shortlisted for this role you will need proven experience and be fully conversant with AutoCAD 2D along with a good working knowledge of Word and Excel. Experience with AutoCAD Inventor or SolidWorks is advantageous but not essential and a background in the sheet metal industry would also be beneficial as would experience with Lantek or Radan Punch/Laser programming however these are not essential as full training will be provided. Strong communication skills are a must with the ability to liaise professionally with clients and colleagues.
