At Kelvin Power, part of the global VINCI Energies group, we're looking for an experienced AutoCAD/Revit Technician to join our growing team in Leicester.
With an increasing portfolio of projects and continued growth across the business, this is an exciting opportunity to join a team delivering engineering solutions for major infrastructure projects across the UK and Ireland.
You'll work alongside a multidisciplinary team of experienced engineers and technicians, supporting the design and delivery of high-voltage substation projects and helping us maintain the high technical standards our clients expect.
What you'll be doing
As an AutoCAD/Revit Technician, you'll play an important role in producing accurate, high-quality models and drawings to support our engineering projects.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Creating and developing Primary Plant models and drawings using AutoCAD and Revit.
- Producing detailed technical drawings in line with project requirements.
- Working collaboratively with engineers and other disciplines to coordinate designs.
- Reviewing project drawings and files to ensure compliance with relevant standards, procedures and CAD protocols.
- Supporting the development and implementation of CAD/Revit best practice.
- Ensuring drawings and models are produced accurately and within agreed project timescales.
- Managing your own workload across multiple projects and priorities.
- Contributing to the continued development and improvement of our design processes.

What we're looking for
We're looking for someone with strong technical capability who is comfortable working independently while also collaborating as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team.
Ideally, you'll have:
- A minimum of five years' experience using AutoCAD and Revit.
- Experience producing technical drawings and models within an engineering or infrastructure environment.
- Experience delivering infrastructure projects to challenging deadlines.
- Excellent technical drawing and detailing skills.
- A good understanding of relevant industry standards and the ability to translate engineering requirements into accurate CAD/Revit outputs.
- The ability to work effectively on your own initiative and manage competing priorities.
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- An HND, degree or equivalent experience in electrical engineering or a related discipline.
- Experience within HV substations, Primary Plant, power transmission or distribution projects would be particularly advantageous.
