Our client Scottish Power Transmissions are looking for an AutoDesk Forma Specialist for an initial 12 month contract role based in Blantyre.
Role Purpose
The Autodesk Forma Specialist will lead the configuration, optimisation, governance and continuous improvement of Autodesk Forma across the business. The role will ensure that Autodesk Forma is configured and operated as a compliant Common Data Environment (CDE), supporting project delivery, information management, collaboration and digital transformation objectives.
The postholder will act as the subject matter expert for Autodesk Forma, working with project teams, contractors, engineers, document controllers and external partners to maximise adoption, improve data quality and embed consistent digital delivery practices aligned with organisational requirements and ISO 19650 principles.
Key Responsibilities
Platform Management
- Configure and maintain Autodesk Forma projects, templates and workflows.
- Manage platform standards, permissions, roles and access controls.
- Develop and maintain project configurations for different contract and delivery models.
- Lead system testing, upgrades and deployment of new functionality.
Information Management
- Ensure Autodesk Forma operates in accordance with ISO 19650 principles and organisational information management standards.
- Develop and maintain metadata, naming conventions and folder structures.
- Support implementation of information requirements and project governance controls.
- Monitor compliance with approved information management processes.

Workflow and Process Development
- Configure and optimise review, approval, RFI, issue and collaboration workflows.
- Translate business processes into efficient digital workflows.
- Identify opportunities to automate manual activities and improve user experience.
- Develop standard operating procedures and user guidance.
Reporting and Analytics
- Develop dashboards, reports and performance metrics using Autodesk Forma data.
- Monitor user adoption and platform performance.
- Provide management information to support decision-making and governance activities.
- Identify trends, risks and opportunities from project data.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as the primary technical expert for Autodesk Forma.
- Engage with Autodesk, consultants and implementation partners.
- Support project teams in resolving system and process issues.
- Facilitate workshops with internal and external stakeholders.
Training and Adoption
- Deliver user training and awareness sessions.
- Develop training materials and learning pathways.
- Support onboarding of new projects, contractors and supply chain partners.
- Promote digital best practice and consistent platform use across the organisation.
Continuous Improvement
- Maintain a development roadmap for Autodesk Forma.
- Assess new modules, integrations and emerging functionality.
- Support integration with other enterprise systems and digital solutions.
- Lead improvement initiatives to maximise value from the platform.

Knowledge & Experience
Essential
- Proven experience administering or implementing Autodesk Forma and/or Autodesk Construction Cloud.
- Experience configuring workflows, permissions, reviews, RFIs, issues management and document control processes.
- Strong understanding of Common Data Environments (CDEs).
- Experience working within engineering, infrastructure, construction or utilities environments.
- Knowledge of BIM and information management principles.
- Experience developing reports, dashboards and management information.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills.
Desirable
- ISO 19650 knowledge and practical implementation experience.
- Experience of major capital infrastructure programmes.
- Experience integrating Autodesk platforms with other business systems.
- Knowledge of Power BI, APIs or digital integration tools.
- Autodesk professional certifications.
- Experience supporting organisational digital transformation programmes.
