IBM Workload Scheduler (IWS) Specialist
Permanent | £60,000 to £70,000 | Bradford / Hybrid (2 days in office)
We're looking for an experienced IBM Workload Scheduler (IWS) Specialist to join a well-known UK online retailer.
This is a great opportunity to join a small specialist team as a genuine IWS subject matter expert, working alongside an experienced colleague in a business-critical area.
You'll be involved across:
- Building scripts that run through IWS
- Creating and maintaining batch schedules
- In-depth problem analysis and resolution
- Mainframe work, including JCL and REXX
- IWS upgrades
- Working with a small, friendly technical team

You'll be joining at an interesting time, with the chance to help shape and support the ongoing development of the IWS environment.
You'll need:
- Significant, recent hands-on IWS experience, ideally with more recent versions
- Proven experience building scripts and batch schedules (not just running or monitoring jobs)
- Mainframe knowledge, specifically JCL and REXX
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Current, up-to-date experience of IWS and mainframe environments
Nice to have:
- Linux scripting
- Experience of IWS upgrades
