Automation Architect – Kubernetes / GitOps / CNF

Contract Duration: 3 Months

Location: Remote, UK

Engagement Type: Contract

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Automation Architect to join a 3-month engagement focused on designing, implementing and documenting automated deployment and testing capabilities across a Kubernetes-based, multi-vendor environment.

The successful candidate will be a highly hands-on technical professional with strong expertise across Kubernetes, Helm, ArgoCD, GitLab CI/CD and automation scripting. You will be responsible for developing and improving GitOps-based deployment pipelines, automating the deployment and validation of Cloud-Native Network Functions (CNFs), and establishing robust automated test frameworks.

This role will suit someone who can operate at both architecture and implementation level — able to define the right technical approach, but equally comfortable writing Helm configurations, GitLab pipelines, ArgoCD applications, Kubernetes manifests and automation scripts.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
