Join us to build smarter automation:

We’re looking for an Automation Developer to join Zurich’s Retail Automation team, designing and supporting solutions that improve efficiency and deliver better outcomes for customers and colleagues.

You’ll work primarily with Blue Prism, alongside technologies such as Power Platform, APIs, data tools, and emerging AI capabilities. You’ll contribute across the automation lifecycle, from understanding business problems through to development, testing, deployment, and continuous improvement.

Many of our employees work flexibly in a variety of different ways, including part-time, flexible hours, job share, an element of working from home or compressed hours. This is because we want the best people for our roles, and we recognise that sometimes those people aren’t available full-time. Please talk to us at interview about the flexibility you may need.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Design, build, test, and maintain automation solutions, primarily using Blue Prism.
  • Work with stakeholders to understand processes and identify the right automation approach.
  • Produce clear process documentation and solution designs.
  • Support testing, deployment, and controlled release activities.
  • Monitor live automations, resolve issues, and improve performance.
  • Explore how RPA, APIs, data, and AI can create smarter end-to-end solutions.
  • Test and validate AI-assisted outputs, ensuring appropriate accuracy, controls, and human oversight.
  • Measure and communicate the benefits delivered by automation.

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience with an RPA or automation platform such as Blue Prism, UiPath, Power Automate, or Automation Anywhere.
  • An understanding of process analysis and the automation development lifecycle.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience gathering requirements and working with stakeholders.
  • A methodical approach to testing, troubleshooting, and quality.
  • Curiosity about AI and an interest in combining it responsibly with automation.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
