Turn your automation expertise into solutions that make a difference.

Do you enjoy bringing automation projects to life – from the first technical idea through development and commissioning?

At ATS Global, we are looking for a Controls & Automation Engineer to join our growing automation team. You will work closely with customers and colleagues across the business, delivering automation solutions for both existing and new customers.

This is a hands-on role with the opportunity to work across the full project lifecycle – from pre-sales and solution design through development, configuration, testing, and commissioning.

What will you do?

As a Controls & Automation Engineer, you will:

  • Design, develop and configure automation solutions for industrial customers.
  • Support projects from pre-sales and technical concept through to commissioning.
  • Work with automation platforms such as Siemens or Rockwell.
  • Develop and work with SCADA systems, with experience in FactoryTalk, WinCC, Ignition, or Wonderware being an advantage.
  • Work with automation hardware, including VSDs and control panels.
  • Contribute to control system design, testing, and technical documentation.
  • Deliver small to medium-sized automation projects while keeping quality, deadlines, and customer expectations in focus.
  • Work closely with our Business Development and Engineering teams to understand customer challenges and develop the right technical solutions.
  • Build strong relationships with customers and become a trusted technical partner.
  • Identify opportunities to further develop solutions and services for our customers.
  • Continuously expand your knowledge of automation, IT, and manufacturing technologies.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
