Automation Engineer - AI Driven Testing

6 month contract
Inside IR35 via Umbrella
London or Leeds (Hybrid – 50–60% onsite)
SC Cleared role

Our financial institution client are undergoing a major transformation, building a new QA capability focused on AI-driven testing and intelligent automation.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-impact team using GenAI, RAG-based systems, and AI-assisted tooling to shape the future of testing at enterprise scale.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver AI-powered test strategies and automation frameworks
  • Drive innovation and PoCs (AI-led test generation, regression optimisation)
  • Lead end-to-end test lifecycle across complex environments
  • Integrate QA into CI/CD and DevOps pipelines
  • Collaborate across large-scale, multi-project delivery teams

Key Skills

  • Senior QA / SDET experience across web, mobile, API, desktop & cloud
  • Hands-on with AI-assisted testing tools (e.g. GitHub Copilot, Amazon Q, Cursor)
  • Strong automation expertise: Selenium, Playwright, Appium, Rest Assured, TestNG
  • CI/CD & DevOps: Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS/Azure
  • Experience delivering large-scale automation & optimisation outcomes
