Delivering essential services and driving sustainable impact within its community, this company is at the forefront of leveraging technology to enhance operational efficiency, improve customer experiences, and build a resilient future. As a partner with Aquent, we seek innovative talent to contribute to their mission of excellence and digital transformation.

Are you passionate about transforming business processes through intelligent automation? We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic engineer to join a multidisciplinary team at the heart of digital innovation. This is an incredible opportunity to design, build, and deploy cutting-edge automation solutions that will directly impact operational efficiency, enhance service delivery, and drive significant business outcomes. You’ll be instrumental in shaping the future of how critical services are delivered, making a tangible difference every day.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead technical discovery and feasibility assessments, providing engineering estimates, delivery assumptions, integration considerations, and technical risks.
  • Translate approved process designs, user stories, acceptance criteria, and non-functional requirements into secure, scalable, and supportable automation solutions.
  • Develop robust automations using Microsoft Power Automate (cloud flows and Desktop), Power Apps, Copilot Studio, Dataverse, APIs, and approved integration patterns.
  • Configure comprehensive exception handling, retry logic, logging, alerting, environment variables, connection references, and secure credential handling.
  • Design and execute unit, functional, integration, regression, and non-functional tests, maintaining evidence against acceptance criteria.
  • Actively participate in Agile sprint planning, daily stand-ups, demonstrations, retrospectives, and backlog refinement sessions.
  • Produce and maintain high-quality technical and support documentation, including solution designs, diagrams, test scripts, and runbooks.
  • Ensure solutions adhere to architectural patterns, security controls, engineering standards, and operational acceptance criteria, leveraging Azure DevOps for Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) and version control.
  • Collaborate closely with Platform Engineers to ensure environments, connectors, and platform capabilities support reliable delivery.
  • Engage with Architects for design reviews and architectural guidance, and with Process Engineers to ensure processes are well-understood, standardized, and ready for automation.
  • Provide L3 engineering support for live automations, investigating and resolving defects, workflow failures, integration issues, and performance bottlenecks.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying reusable components, automation candidates, standard patterns, and optimized delivery methods.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
