Are you an Automation Engineer who enjoys finding smarter ways to solve complex infrastructure challenges? A leading technology organisation is looking for an experienced Automation Engineer to join its Infrastructure Operations function, working within a large and highly complex enterprise environment.

About the Role

This is a key role focused on automation, infrastructure improvement and operational efficiency. You’ll be responsible for identifying repetitive and time-consuming processes and turning them into reliable, scalable automated solutions. Using technologies such as PowerShell, Power Automate, Python and Microsoft Graph API, you’ll help transform the way infrastructure services are deployed, monitored, managed and supported.

Key Responsibilities

  • Automation Focus: Identify and automate repetitive processes.
  • Technical Support: Provide expert technical support across a broad Microsoft infrastructure estate at 3rd Line level.
  • Incident Management: Act as an escalation point for complex incidents, troubleshoot challenging infrastructure issues and work towards permanent solutions.
  • Infrastructure Activities: Involved in infrastructure maintenance, upgrades, patching, monitoring and service improvement across both cloud and on-premise environments.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
