A large logistics business is looking for a technical specialist to support its regional operations. The role involves ensuring that complex automated systems function at peak performance to maintain high productivity levels. You will be responsible for exploring data from control systems and sensors to maximize equipment availability across multiple sites.
What you'll be doing
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and repair issues within complex control systems
- Analyze material handling equipment metrics to optimize system performance
- Provide data visualizations and troubleshooting reports to internal stakeholders
- Lead or contribute to continuous improvement projects for automated machinery
- Interpret mechanical and electrical drawings to develop code improvement strategies

What we're looking for
- Experience in monitoring and repairing automated systems or sortation equipment
- Proficiency in developing code conforming to IEC 61131-3 standards
- Ability to maintain accurate documentation and backup libraries for technical systems
- Strong communication skills to train technicians on device troubleshooting
- Flexibility to travel between regional sites up to 50% of the time
