Position: Automation Platform Engineer

Location: Hybrid - 1 day p/week South Coast; 4 days remote

Type: Permanent

Salary: £70-78K


We are looking for an experienced Automation Platform Engineer to join a growing Intelligent Automation and Process Engineering function within a major organisation undergoing significant digital transformation.

You will take hands-on ownership of the organisation's core automation platforms, helping to ensure they are secure, scalable, resilient and fit for enterprise use.

Working closely with Architecture, Security and Engineering teams, you'll help define platform standards, improve performance and support the adoption of automation, AI and Copilot-driven solutions across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and engineer enterprise Microsoft Power Platform environments
  • Support platforms including Power Automate, Power Apps, Copilot Studio and Microsoft 365
  • Help establish platform standards around security, governance, resilience and performance
  • Support the rollout and adoption of automation, AI and Copilot solutions
  • Work with Architecture and Security teams on areas including DLP, RBAC and data governance
  • Monitor platform performance and health, identifying opportunities for improvement
  • Produce technical standards, documentation and operational guidance
  • Contribute to the development of a scalable automation platform and operating model

What we're looking for

  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Platform, particularly Power Automate and Power Apps
  • Experience with Copilot Studio / conversational AI would be advantageous
  • Background in RPA, automation platforms and enterprise workflow solutions
  • Experience with Dataverse and/or Microsoft Fabric
  • Good understanding of security and governance concepts including DLP, RBAC and Purview
  • Experience managing enterprise technology environments with a focus on performance, resilience and support
  • Understanding of Azure/cloud technologies and enterprise integration would be advantageous
  • Strong technical documentation and communication skills
  • Relevant Microsoft certifications such as PL-200, PL-400, PL-600 or MS-102 would be beneficial
