Join the Sales team and you’ll build the relationships that help grow our business in existing markets and beyond. We don’t just sell creative solutions to our clients and partners, we help to shape them; using our expert knowledge of ad products, sales channels and the industry to impact the way the world experiences music and podcasts.
Spotify's programmatic advertising business is one of the fastest-growing areas within our Ads organisation — spanning audio, video, and display across one of the world's most engaged audiences. This role sits at the center of that growth.
Are you passionate about shaping how brands connect with listeners through programmatic advertising — and ready to lead that charge across the UK market?
We are looking for an outstanding Automation Lead (Programmatic) to join our team. We're looking for someone with a proven record of revenue generation in the programmatic advertising field, with deep relationships across agencies, agency trading desks, and Demand-Side Platforms (DSPs). You bring a passion for online media, data, and ad tech. We want someone who loves our product and understands the programmatic ecosystem.
What You'll Do
- Serve as the programmatic expert and evangelist in the sales organisation, applying our diverse programmatic and data offering to drive revenue via Programmatic Guaranteed, PMP and open auction channels
- Grow programmatic advertising revenues by creating, maintaining, and sustaining relationships with DSPs, agencies, trading desks and appropriate demand partners
- Sell programmatic across audio, video and display, with a knowledge of mobile app based programmatic sales
- Work collaboratively with our sales leadership team on strategic programmatic selling in market, pitching to agency and brands
- Support and upskill the wider sales team via internal education, co-selling in market, being the go to person for planning and execution
- Meet and exceed quarterly revenue goals
- Represent Spotify at events and serve as a brand ambassador
- Manage activity using salesforce, provide accurate and timely forecasting, and report on meeting activity

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
