Are you an experienced engineer with a background in serialisation, automation or packaging line systems within a regulated manufacturing environment? Our client is seeking a Serialisation Technical Support Engineer to provide specialist support across packaging line serialisation and automation systems, ensuring reliable, compliant and efficient manufacturing operations.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly regulated production environment where you will play a key role in supporting operational performance, troubleshooting technical issues, maintaining system compliance and driving continuous improvement.

The Role:

As the technical lead for serialisation and associated automation systems, you will be responsible for ensuring packaging line systems operate effectively and meet regulatory and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the technical point of contact for serialisation and automation systems on packaging lines.
  • Diagnose and resolve system faults, communication issues and equipment failures.
  • Develop, configure and maintain serialisation recipes, product master data and system parameters.
  • Support batch start-up, line clearance, execution and post-batch review activities.
  • Investigate deviations, alarms, reject trends and equipment issues, supporting CAPA activities.
  • Assist with installation, commissioning, qualification and validation activities, including IQ/OQ/PQ.
  • Ensure compliance with GMP, GxP and ALCOA+ data integrity requirements.
  • Analyse data from serialisation, automation and production systems to identify opportunities for performance improvement.
  • Support and maintain PLCs, HMIs, scanners, printers, vision systems, sensors, servo drives and other automation equipment.
  • Liaise with third-party suppliers and vendors to resolve complex technical issues.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
