Job Title

Automation Solutions Engineer

Job Description

About Us

Digital Process acts as an internal delivery and enablement partner, working with teams across the business to understand their processes, shape opportunities, design solutions and deliver workflow, automation and orchestration capabilities. The team helps translate business strategy, operational challenges and process improvement opportunities into practical digital products. Ultimately, we aim to enable the business to grow profitably through scalable capabilities.

Presently, the team are focused on implementation of workflow orchestration and automation capabilities to support a global digital transformation programme.

About You

As an Automation Solutions Engineer in the Digital Process team, you will help design, build and embed digital process solutions that solve real business problems with a focus on Automation.

You will work across the full lifecycle of a solution: understanding business challenges, shaping requirements, designing future-state processes, building, documenting and configuring solutions, integrating technologies, testing outputs, deploying solutions, supporting adoption and continually improving what has been delivered.

We use a range of technologies to deliver workflow, case management, automation and orchestration solutions, but your focus will be on identifying and applying the right technology to solve the business problem. This may include workflow platforms, systems integration, data processing, intelligent document processing, process intelligence, AI-enabled capabilities, robotic process automation (RPA), cloud services, reporting, dashboards and other supporting technologies.

The role requires a blend of engineering discipline, process thinking, business analysis, solution design and stakeholder collaboration. You will need to be comfortable moving between business conversations and technical implementation, helping ensure that solutions are not only well built, but also well understood, well adopted and capable of delivering measurable value.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, assess and prioritise opportunities to automate business processes and operational activities.
  • Design and deliver automation solutions that improve efficiency, accuracy, control and scalability.
  • Build and support integrations between business systems, applications and data sources using APIs, events, workflow and automation technologies.
  • Work with business stakeholders to understand current processes, pain points and desired outcomes.
  • Translate business requirements into practical, secure and supportable technical solutions.
  • Develop reusable automation and integration patterns that can be applied across multiple business areas.
  • Collaborate with engineers, analysts, architects and business teams to deliver solutions from concept through to production.
  • Support testing, deployment, operational readiness, documentation and handover.
  • Contribute to automation standards, best practice and continuous improvement across the Digital Process function.
  • Stay aware of emerging automation technologies, including AI-enabled automation, intelligent document processing and orchestration tools.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
