About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Automation Systems Developer to join our dynamic team in Castle Donington, Derbyshire. This role is pivotal in designing, building, and maintaining software and hardware systems that automate routine tasks, thereby increasing operational efficiency and allowing our teams to focus on delivering exceptional patient care. The successful candidate will be responsible for translating complex process inefficiencies into scalable, executable automation solutions, ensuring Medstrom remains at the cutting edge of healthcare technology. This position requires a proactive individual with strong stakeholder engagement skills, capable of handling complex problem-solving scenarios and making technical topics accessible to non-technical audiences. Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of three years of experience in a similar Automation Developer role, with a strong technical background in SQL, Power Apps, and Power Automate. Proven experience in developing end-to-end automation solutions and integrating various business systems is essential. Familiarity with data integration tools such as SharePoint, Excel, Power BI, and APIs, along with a good understanding of security and permissions, is required. Additional skills in JSON, SharePoint design, and development are preferred. A full UK driving license and willingness to travel as needed are also important. The candidate should demonstrate excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
Responsibilities
- Delivering efficiencies through automation by streamlining administrative and operational tasks.
- Building and optimizing Power Automate flows across various departments.
- Integrating these with existing business systems.
- Working with SQL and Microsoft Azure to develop robust solutions.
- Scripting, creating connectors, and collaborating with colleagues and management to identify automation opportunities and scope out solutions.
- Testing automations in sandbox environments, debugging failures, and ensuring ongoing system reliability.
- Supporting broader Power Platform initiatives such as Power Apps and Power BI.
- Contributing to business case presentations for new automation projects.
- Documenting designs for governance and audit purposes.
- Ensuring projects are thoroughly mapped, documented, and maintained for future updates.
- Post-project analysis, including collating data and measuring outcomes, to demonstrate the value delivered to the organization.
