Job Title: Senior Automation Tester
Location: Leeds, UK (Hybrid)
Work mode: Hybrid - 3 days weekly from Leeds
Employment Type: 6 months fixed-term contract

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Automation Tester with strong expertise in WebdriverIO, JavaScript, and TypeScript to lead the design, development, and execution of robust test automation frameworks. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring software quality through automated testing of web applications and collaboration with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using WebdriverIO.
- Create and execute automated test scripts using JavaScript and TypeScript.
- Develop end-to-end, regression, smoke, and integration test suites.
- Collaborate with Developers, Product Owners, and Business Analysts to understand requirements.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
- Analyze test results, identify defects, and work closely with development teams for resolution.
- Mentor junior testers and promote automation best practices.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.

Required Skills
- Strong experience with WebdriverIO.
- Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript.
- Experience with BDD/TDD frameworks such as Cucumber.
- Hands-on expertise in API testing and automation.
- Experience with Git, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or similar CI/CD tools.
- Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies.
- Knowledge of SQL and database testing.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with performance testing tools.
- Exposure to cloud environments (Azure/AWS).
- ISTQB certification.
