Automation Test Analyst
I’m currently working with an organisation that is looking to add an Automation Test Analyst to its growing QA function. This is a great opportunity for an experienced tester who enjoys automation and wants to work across UI, API and performance testing within a collaborative development environment.
Location: Bath
Salary: £40,000–£45,000
Working pattern: Hybrid – 2 days in the office, 3 from home
What they're looking for:
- Around 4-5+ years' experience within software testing
- Experience testing web-based applications
- Experience with UI and/or API automation
- Knowledge of automation frameworks such as Selenium, or similar technologies
- Experience with API testing tools such as Postman, Swagger or equivalent
- Good understanding of test planning, test design and requirements
- Strong SQL skills, ideally including SQL Server
- Understanding of the full software development and testing lifecycle
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities
- A proactive approach and willingness to learn new technologies

- Experience developing automation frameworks using Python
- Previous experience within financial services or another regulated environment
- Exposure to tools such as Jira or Confluence
- Experience with dedicated test management platforms
- Experience integrating automated tests with wider development or reporting tools
- Relevant degree or technical qualification
