Join a high-growth automotive business and take ownership of brand and media strategy for an exciting new UK market launch.

Our client is seeking an experienced Brand & Media Manager to lead the development and execution of integrated brand campaigns and media investment across the UK. This is a high-impact opportunity to help establish a new premium automotive brand from the ground up, shaping its market presence, positioning and customer awareness from launch.

The successful candidate will combine strategic brand thinking, media expertise, commercial acumen and strong agency management skills, with the ability to operate across both brand-building and performance-led activity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of integrated brand and media strategies across TV, digital, OOH, print, radio and emerging media channels.
  • Take ownership of the UK media strategy and investment, ensuring spend is effectively deployed against brand awareness, consideration, desirability and lead-generation objectives.
  • Manage relationships with creative, media and production agencies, ensuring effective briefing, delivery and alignment across brand, product, digital, PR and retailer marketing teams.
  • Develop detailed audience insights, market research and competitor analysis to inform targeting, media planning and brand investment decisions.
  • Negotiate media rates, placements, partnerships, sponsorships and product placement opportunities, maximising commercial value and ensuring alignment with the brand's premium positioning.
  • Identify and evaluate new sponsorship, partnership and cultural opportunities that can strengthen brand awareness, credibility and relevance within the UK market.
  • Oversee the development and production of campaign assets and content, working with creative and production agencies to ensure high-quality, channel-optimised output that is consistent with brand guidelines.
  • Monitor and optimise campaign performance across brand and performance channels, using real-time data, analytics and post-campaign evaluation to improve effectiveness.
  • Manage substantial brand and media budgets, ensuring expenditure remains within agreed parameters while maximising campaign ROI and commercial impact.
  • Ensure campaigns comply with relevant industry standards, regulatory requirements, brand guidelines and financial controls, including SOX where applicable.
  • Stay ahead of developments in the UK media and automotive landscape, including emerging channels, technologies, consumer behaviours and innovative opportunities.
  • Lead comprehensive post-buy and post-campaign analysis, translating performance data into clear insights and actionable recommendations.
  • Present media and brand investment strategies, campaign performance and recommendations to senior leadership and executive stakeholders.
  • Support the wider business in establishing the foundations for the brand's UK launch and long-term growth, including processes, agency relationships, media frameworks and investment strategy.
  • Work effectively in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment, managing multiple priorities and delivering campaigns to demanding deadlines.

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in brand, media, communications or media buying, with proven experience within the automotive sector
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Media, Communications or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience managing large-scale, integrated, multi-channel campaigns across both traditional and digital media.
  • Strong understanding of brand strategy, media planning, audience development and consumer behaviour, with the ability to translate insight into effective investment decisions.
  • Proven experience managing significant media budgets, financial controls and ROI-driven campaign execution.
  • Strong knowledge of the UK media landscape, including media channels, consumer trends and competitor activity.
  • Proficiency with media planning, buying and analytical platforms such as Nielsen, Kantar, AdIntel, Google Ads, Meta, DV360, as well as experience with econometrics and/or Media Mix Modelling.
  • Proven experience negotiating media partnerships, sponsorships, product placements and commercial opportunities, with the ability to assess their strategic and financial value.
  • Experience briefing and managing creative, media and production agencies, with a strong understanding of campaign development and content requirements across TV, digital, OOH, print, radio and emerging channels.
  • Exceptional commercial negotiation, stakeholder management and agency management skills.
  • Strong analytical capability, with experience measuring campaign effectiveness, interpreting performance data and developing actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple campaigns, agencies and stakeholders simultaneously while maintaining strong attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with confidence engaging with senior leadership and executive stakeholders.
  • Experience working within a brand launch, new market entry or high-growth environment is highly desirable.
