What You’ll Do

As a Build Technician, you’ll play a key role in the end-to-end build process, from chassis to fully functional vehicle, ensuring every vehicle is assembled to the highest standards. Responsibilities include:

  • Full vehicle preparation, assembly, and build (Trim & Final Assembly focus) in a bay-build environment.
  • Mechanical and electrical assembly – from components to full ground-up vehicle builds.
  • Diagnosing and logging issues while supporting engineering improvements.
  • Working from technical drawings with precision tools and components.

Are you the Build Technician we’re looking for?

We’re seeking detail-driven technicians who thrive in high-quality environments. You’ll bring:

  • Proven experience in vehicle assembly, restoration, or motorsport builds.
  • Strong engineering knowledge with practical problem-solving ability.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to craftsmanship.
  • Proficiency with precision tools and technical drawings.
  • Flexibility to adapt to overtime and evolving build requirements.
  • Awareness of H&S, COSHH, and environmental standards.

Hours & Pay

  • Contract: Ongoing (Inside IR35)
  • Shift Pattern: Monday – Thursday (7:00 AM – 4:30 PM), Friday (7:00 AM – 12:45 PM)
  • Overtime opportunities & Rates available
  • Umbrella Pay Rate: £30.00 per hour (Umbrella PAYE – Inside IR35)

Please note, this role is deemed inside of IR35. The Umbrella pay rate offered is inclusive of the Assignment pay rate, holiday pay and Apex Recruitments contribution towards Employer Costs.
