Job Title: Automotive Engineer/Specialized Automotive Engineering Experts

Location: UK (Remote)
Job Type: Part-time contract, initially for 1 Month.

Summary:

We are looking for deep component-level specialists who can support our teams in client-facing workshops, specification reviews, and technical cost analyses.

Expertise Required:

  • Experts with deep technical knowledge in specific automotive components and engineering domains, rather than broad functional experience.

Examples of relevant component areas include:

Category & Components:

  • Interior: Seating, Center Console, Interior Lighting, Cockpit / Instrument Panels
  • Exterior: Closures, Bumpers, Fascias, Lighting, Mirrors, Glass, Seals, Roof Systems, Exterior Trim
  • Vehicle Systems: Vehicle Safety Systems, Brake Design, Electrical Systems, Hybrid Vehicle Engineering, Body Structures

Required:

  • 10–20 years of hands-on automotive engineering experience
  • Former Engineering Manager, Team Lead, Module Owner, Component Owner, or Senior Technical Specialist
  • OEM or Tier-1 supplier background
  • Deep expertise in one or more specific components or modules
  • Experience from concept development through validation, industrialization, and SOP
  • Experience working with suppliers and cross-functional engineering/procurement teams
  • Comfortable participating in technical workshops with client engineering teams

  • Review engineering specifications and identify over-engineering
  • Challenge engineering assumptions and testing timeline/certification requirements
  • Identify technical cost reduction opportunities
  • Support sizing of opportunities
  • Assess feasibility of engineering changes
  • Support DtV and module workshops
  • Translate technical expertise into actionable recommendations
