Role Description

The Automotive Enhancement Technician role is a full-time, on-site position based in Sittingbourne. The technician will install, upgrade, and troubleshoot car audio systems, alarms, tracking systems, immobilisers, parking sensors, reverse cameras, heated seats, and Apple CarPlay/Android Auto units.

Day-to-day tasks include:

  • Wiring and fitting components
  • Testing systems for functionality and safety
  • Ensuring all work meets company quality standards
  • Interacting with customers to understand their requirements
  • Offering technical advice
  • Providing clear explanations of installed products and features

The technician will maintain a clean and safe workspace, document work completed, and support the team in delivering reliable, guaranteed services. Training will be provided.

  • Strong electrical skills.
  • Experience installing and configuring car audio components such as stereos, speakers, amplifiers, subwoofers, and DAB/Bluetooth upgrades.
  • Ability to install and service security and safety systems, including alarms, immobilisers, tracking systems, parking sensors, reverse cameras, and witness cameras.
  • Competence in fitting comfort and enhancement features such as heated seats and Apple CarPlay/Android Auto integrations.
  • Good customer service and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information clearly and provide practical advice.
  • Attention to detail, commitment to high-quality workmanship, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to work on a variety of vehicle makes and models.
