Automotive Glazing Apprentice - York

Joining as an apprentice could be perfect for you. We are looking for the next generation of technicians to repair & replace vehicle glass, learning new technology such as sensors for automatic braking. We will train you to level 3 technician & start your career with a forward-thinking business.

  • Repairing chips in glass
  • The replacement of windscreens and body glass on a variety of vehicles
  • With cars becoming more and more technology-focused, you will also learn tasks like recalibration of sensors for features like automatic wipers, automatic braking and lane detection

Apprenticeships include time away from working for specialist training. You’ll study to gain professional knowledge and skills.

Requirements

  • GCSE in: English Literature or Language (grade 4 or above), Maths (grade 4 or above)

  • Evidence of qualifications will be required before any offer of employment can be confirmed.
  • If you are currently awaiting your GCSE results, any offer made will be conditional upon achieving a Grade 4 or above in both maths and English.

  • Identify and order automotive glazing products and materials.
  • Set up, calibrate and test Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).
  • Prioritise own work to meet the needs of the business and the customer.

  • Use information and digital technology. Comply with GDPR and cyber security regulations and policies.
  • Restore the work area on completion of the activity.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
